Apple iPad Air 13-inch (M4, 2026)

Big Power, Light Touch: iPad Air 13-inch with M4

Meet the iPad Air 13-inch with the Apple M4 chip – a roomy, immersive canvas in a body that is only 6.1mm thin. It gives you the space to spread out your work, sketch on a larger surface, edit photos and video in detail, or simply enjoy movies and shows on a bigger, brighter screen.

With 12GB of memory, Wi-Fi 7 and an M4 chip that is up to 30% faster than the previous iPad Air, it handles studying, creating, working and playing without slowing down – and it is built to stay useful for years.

Blazing-Fast M4 Performance

The Apple M4 chip with an 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU makes multitasking effortless: run split-screen apps, edit 4K video, layer tracks in a music app or play graphics-heavy games without a hiccup. Apple says it is up to 30% faster than the M3 iPad Air and up to 2.3x faster than the M1 model. Hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading bring console-style lighting and detail to games and 3D apps, and the 16-core Neural Engine powers Apple Intelligence features.

12GB of Memory for Smooth Multitasking

Memory is up 50% from the previous generation, so you can keep more apps and browser tabs open and switch between them instantly. Large photo libraries, big documents and AI-assisted tasks all run more smoothly.

A Stunning 13-inch Liquid Retina Display

Your content comes alive on a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with P3 wide colour for rich, true-to-life images and True Tone that adapts to the light around you. The anti-reflective, fully laminated screen sits close to the glass, so drawing and writing feel natural, and it is easy to read in bright rooms. Brightness reaches up to 600 nits at 2732 x 2048 resolution (264ppi).

Cameras That Keep You in the Frame

The 12MP Ultra Wide front camera sits on the landscape edge, so you look straight at the person you are talking to when the iPad is in a keyboard or stand. Center Stage automatically keeps you centred as you move. The 12MP rear camera captures sharp photos, scans documents and records 4K video at up to 60fps.

Next-Generation Wireless

Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 (powered by Apple N1) deliver faster, more reliable connections for downloads, video calls, AirDrop and Personal Hotspot. Choose a Wi-Fi + Cellular model for 5G (Apple C1X modem) with eSIM, and stay connected when you are away from Wi-Fi.

Draw, Write and Work Your Way

Support for Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C) turns the Air into a digital notebook and sketchbook, while Magic Keyboard transforms it into a laptop-style workspace with a full keyboard and trackpad. iPadOS 26 adds a flexible windowing system, a menu bar and improved Files and Preview apps for a more desktop-like experience.

Everyday Security, Everyday Battery

Unlock instantly and pay securely with Touch ID in the top button. The USB-C port (up to 10Gb/s) connects to displays, fast storage and accessories, and the battery lasts up to 10 hours of web browsing or video playback – a full day of class, work or travel.
